If I had to choose one word that describes what’s important to me, it’s connection. On a personal level I’m driven by the desire to create moments where people feel seen and heard. I love coming up with questions that dig beneath the surface and get us collectively thinking about what’s important. I think it is life-changing to feel connected to our food from beginning to end: from our relationship with the earth and the farmers who grow our food, to the preparation, and finally the connection to our own bodies and what makes them feel good. I speak to plants for fun. You will often find me musing about the bigger picture, the current underneath it all, and writing my thoughts into poems.

A generalist at heart, I have many passions and interests and a natural ability to learn new things quickly. I question things, mostly systems. I’m not afraid to ask tough questions and challenge social norms. I want my life to be in service to greater freedom for all life. In whatever little ways I can do that I will keep trying. I love plants and animals. I love immersing myself in fantasy worlds through books, video games, anime and even making my own tabletop rpg. I also brew mead and wildcrafted sodas with traditional brewing methods.

I have widely varying interests (art, music, writing, spirituality, counseling, nature, social justice, gardening & cooking). For me, all of the above have to do with connections – to others, to myself, to nature, to God. I like to look beneath the surface of things and to attempt to express what I see in ways that are meaningful to others and to live out of those observations as authentically as possible.

None of this would have happened without all of your hard work through the years. You are loved and missed. Thank you for preparing the ground for such a beautiful life-giving dream to come true.
